Monistat is generally effective for most yeast (candida) in women. It can not work in all cases. I usually prescribe Diflucan - two tablets taken 3 days apart. This usually means the thing.

You can, however, a few questions ...

When - not the shower! Roar is terrible in the vaginal tract, and is thrown out of the normal flora of bacteria must be present. When these bacteria decline in the population, the yeast that got feed out of control.

If you shave pubic hair - not a good idea. Studies show that shaving pubic hair, in fact, increase the chances of contracting a yeast infection.

Avoid strong soaps there! Here, too, can not get rid of the flora. Use only soft (Dove or Ivory), and never take a bubble bath!

Wear underwear for daily use only cotton. Allows more "sweating" of the pubic area, and decreased sweating.

Hope this helps.

p / s - No, your partner is not treated. Candida is a sexually transmitted disease is present.

Your partners must be treated well. Men usually have no symptoms. However, it could very well be infected. Both could pass the infection back and forth between the two.

It may be that Monistat can be caused simply not strong enough, would have to rid of yeast infection (which by the use of antibiotics to treat chlamydial infection). You should see a doctor - can be one or two oral doses of Diflucan, and it is harder than Monistat, and should clarify things.
